Fall Rush 2025

Well, it's that time again!. I would love to hear from you all to see how your semester is going. Fall Rush/Information is probably going on as well. I hope my past posts were helpful in terms of the do's and don'ts to prepare you all for it.

If the chapter of your choice does NOT have membership intake this year, I strongly recommend that you continue connecting with the chapter by attending various events. Volunteer for multiple programs, and more importantly, get to know the members.  Remember, there's always Spring Rush!!!!

Wishing everyone all the best as they are waiting patiently to get the "call" to membership

  1. So thankful for this thread, I’ve been looking forward to the Support. I just recently interviewed and praying that I receive the phone call. In the meantime, what are you all doing to stay focused and not anxious about this process?p

  5. When I attended Rush, we were giving a timeline to be available during the months of October - December. With it being week one of the month, I can’t imagine the wait for the call to be far away? I mean, I wasn’t imagining a fall line to begin with! The Rush really caught me off guard. I’ve read the prior years threads on here and ladies were waiting WEEKS! Trying to wrap my mind around how that’ll be applicable to the fall.

  6. Anybody from Fort Worth or AADST alumnae heard anything? Kind of nervous given what happened last year with AADST!

    1. I wish I can keep in touch with AADST rush attendees. I was anticipating news by Sunday and we’re going too far into November and they told us that early November will be the "start" of membership intake…it is looking similar to Spring 2024 👀 😬

    2. What do you mean?

  8. Just received my letter of regret. I did everything I thought was right…showed up to majority of events, at least 80-90%. Donated. Fundraising toward their initiative and was rejected. I didn’t do these things in undergrad but I did for Grad chapter. I was confident it’d be a call not an email. Please don’t tell me to try again, I will not be doing that…well wishes to everyone ❤️

    1. Oh noo… So sorry to hear this. Do you mind sharing what chapter?

    2. I am so sorry to hear that. Rejection is hard and give yourself some time to feel those emotions. I felt the same way right after I was rejected but after sitting in those feelings and realizing what I could have done better, I dusted myself off and got back to work. You mentioned you went to events and donated, did you have relationships with any of the members? Again, sorry this happened and sending a virtual hug.

    3. Sorry to hear that. I know how difficult that is. Sending virtual hugs your way.

    4. @12:53am the chapter is Louisiana

    5. @8:52 11/5, no STRONG relationships but I did try to call and text…as told to do so by those members…who always seem to be busy. At my age I call those games…

    6. I hear you, and I’m really sorry you’re feeling this way. It’s clear you gave your all—showing up, donating, fundraising, and supporting the chapter—and it’s completely understandable to feel disappointed when your effort isn’t recognized the way you hoped.
Take a moment to acknowledge your hard work and be proud of yourself. ❤️
Sending you a big virtual hug and support.

  9. I hope this is a safe space to ask this question...

I was browsing the Queens Alumnae Chapter's Instagram and noticed that they wished a Happy Deltaversary to previous chapter lines and some posts about "Eastern Regional Initiates."

Here is an example of a chapter line post - https://www.instagram.com/p/DKg9UfHtRHV/

Here is an example of a post for "Eastern Regional Initiates" - https://www.instagram.com/p/DKeYitotM59/

What is an "Eastern Regional Initiate"?

    1. People who were initiated in the Eastern Region.

    2. Yes, I get that they must of been initiated in the eastern region but exactly is that? I thought the eastern region was comprised of all the chapters in the eastern region (chaps in NY, CT, NJ, etc etc) Does the eastern region initiate their own members? Do you have to live anywhere in the eastern region to qualify? Some clarity would be helpful!

    3. That IG page you reference includes additional information stating the person was recommended by that chapter for membership and initiated at a regional conference. Maybe there was a reason she couldn't be initiated into the chapter, such as degree status, location (no chapter in her area), etc. Whatever the reason, I'm guessing it's Delta business and won't be discussed here. Also this was in the 70's so it may not be relevant in 2025.

  10. Do letters of regret go out before calls?

    1. I think really depends on the organization or program—there’s no universal rule.

  11. Oh snap! A fall intake thread?! Love it. Good luck to all who are pursuing.

  12. Rejection Arlington alumnae. I’ve made peace with the decision

  13. Whatever is happening with the GEAAC chapter is extremely sad. All calls have gone out and choices have been made, however, there are women who just excelled in every aspect that didn’t make line. Not sure how the voting goes, but it all seems unfair. High ranking, established women of society were rejected, can’t wrap my head around it. I hope at this big age we aren’t still in a popularity contest. Definitely raised some concerns.

    1. It’s sort of a popularity contest based on votes. You can get votes by having a high score or by knowing alot of members.

    2. Texas as well..it’s a popularity contest and if I knew..I wouldn’t have given my time. I do not partake in those game..I’ve worked extremely hard to get to where I am.

    3. it sort of is a popular contest. you must get the majority of the chapter votes. Having a very high score on your application usually entices more people to vote for you.

      Delete
    4. @11:45, do you know what the score breakdown consists of?

      Delete
    5. You have to make connections with members. It’s not a competition of accolades.

  16. Help! I'm reviewing the current application and see things have changed a lot. The last time I applied it was pre-COVID and everything is mailed. I know the application is online now, but it appears things are even different from when my bestie applied two years ago. For those of you that applied this year, did you provide a service recommendation letter on letterhead, or does this new service documentation form replace the old letter? Just trying to prepare. Thanks.

    1. This would be my first time applying, but I think it replaces the old format. I think members do not have a template like the service letter does.

    2. @ November 14 at 10:32 PM Thanks. Much appreciated. That's what I was thinking too but wanted to check.

  17. 11/12 @ 10:17pm…all this information is on the official delta website. You asking this on a forum lets me know that you don’t have members that you can go and ask…so don’t waste your time applying…you probably won’t be selected without relationships. Just saying.

    ReplyDelete
  18. @ November 15, 6:09 AM Well damn. Way to be encouraging. I never said I didn't have relationships with members. I chose to ask here because people who applied this fall could easily answer the question. The website is how I saw the new form and wanted to clarify. Typically this blog is a source of information and support. I was looking for basic guidance, not snark. I'm just trying to brush up the new format and requirements to better prepare. But thanks. I guess.

    1. You’ll be alright. People come here to ask questions that they cannot find on the FREE public website…but now that I think about it…you might JUST get selected because knowledge of information means nothing. THIS IS A popularity contest clearly 🤣 they select people like you who don’t know how to research as long as they’re cool with members. lol you’ll be alright…maybe I’m salty because I wasn’t selected. You’ll be fine…DST official site has ALL the info.

  19. @ 6:09 that was so unnecessary! So you a mean girl in real life.

But for the ladies who did apply this Fall, yes we did notice the difference in the application this year in regards to the service letter.
